I view the classroom as a dynamic environment where students can harness their intellectual curiosity for transformative action. Through pedagogy rooted in intersectionality, I aim to equip students with a comprehensive set of tools to develop critical questions, create and evaluate empirical evidence, and effectively communicate complex ideas in each of my courses. I have applied these principles in two courses Criminal Violence (undergraduate) and Statistical Analysis (graduate).
This course examines the trends, nature, and patterns of criminal violence. Potential prevention and policy responses are also examined through discussions with experts in the field.
This is an introductory course in quantitative methods for the social sciences. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability, sampling distributions, estimation, hypothesis testing, and analysis of relationships among variables.
